As of September 1st, it was rapidly becoming apparent the McCain campaign had not taken the time to properly vet their Vice Presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska. It was disclosed that Palin's seventeen year old daughter Bristol was five months pregnant. Also, it was discovered the McCain people had never reviewed important newspaper archives that were not available online.
There is also the troublesome tale of the so-called "Troopergate." A supposed act of retaliation against Palin's brother-in-law regarding a custody dispute.
